Stepping onto a street <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

that my feet <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
have never graced before;<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
back once more to the city <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
that I thought I’d only ever see<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
though novels.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
And I am content to wander.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
No real plan, no goal in mind<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
other than to find<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
a new-to-me corner of this <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
expansive metropolis<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
to store<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
in the chapters<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
of my thoughts.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
There’s something to be said about home,<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
but when I am free to roam<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
I realize<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
I never want to be tethered <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
to some square footage <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
in a lot<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
in a microscopic slice<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
of a small town forgotten<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
by the world.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
There’s just so much more.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
And as I stand suspended <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
on a bridge overlooking <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
the buildings stretching<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
as far as the eye can see,<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
I am aware<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
that I don’t even have enough years in me<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
to trail my feet<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
across this whole city,<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
let alone the world.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
But as long as there’s blood running <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
through my veins<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
and adventurous thoughts running<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
through my mind<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
and desire that permeates<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
though my soul,<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
I will make every step count.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
